We replaced the existing MCCB’s within the PICU LV distribution system to provide the required micro logic 2.2 protection as specific, we installed 4 x 35mm FP600 cables from the LV panel to supply 4 x Schneider isobar distribution boards in riser A and B supplied by alternate supplies backed up by the UPS system and generation.

We undertook all required containment and cable management systems as required throughout.  We installed a total of 60 type A RCBO’s and to serve the new UPS backed radial circuits for the essential equipment used.

We stripped down a total number of 20 patient pendants and split existing cabling to facilitate 1x A supply 1x B supply and 1xA/B supply for the installed commandos to serve the life support equipment.

We installed 5 equipotential bonding boxes in various locations to enable the secondary earthing to enable the secondary earthing to each patient bed and supplementary bonding to comply with the group 2 location as stipulated by BS 7671:2018.

We installed 2x 70mm main incoming CPCS to a 6 way disconnectable earth bar.  We also installed 2x 70mm earthing cables back down to the substation to ensure all locations are at the same potential.

All was a total success and completed in a fantastic time to the highest standard, good luck in the new ward!
